Food Integrity Now – The Real Food Campaign – E40

Dan Kittredge, Director of The Real Food Campaign, joins Food Integrity Now to discuss the importance of revitalizing the soil to grow nutrient dense crops.  He explains why the condition of the soil in which our food is grown is the foundation of our health and physical lives, and is essential for warding off disease. Industrial farming methods, with the use of herbicides and pesticides, decimates the availability of nutrients in the soil, greatly decreasing the quality of the food we eat.  The Real Food Campaign provides education and courses for farmers and gardeners to learn how to cultivate mineral rich soil and grow high quality food.  Mr. Kittredge also tells us of technology the consumer can use to measure nutrient density in produce when shopping. Pretty exciting news for food nerds!
