Support Your State’s GMO Labeling Initiative
After the failure of Proposition 37 in California, people are fired up all over the country to keep the momentum going for GMO labeling all over the country.
Washington state is the furthest along with it’s I-522 initiative effort. This initiative effort, started after the Washington state legislature failed to advance a GMO labeling bill earlier this year, would force the legislature to reconsider the bill. If the legislature still does not advance the bill, the initiative will go before voters in November 2013. The initiative must get over 250,000 signatures before the end of the year, so if you live in Washington state (or know someone there), get signing!
