Wheat Belly by Dr. William Davis

What if eating a low-fat, whole grain diet to prevent or heal heart disease, which is advocated by the American Heart Association, is a lie? What if eating whole grains is the reason why you are overweight, have heart disease or diabetes? Dr. William Davis, Cardiologist and author of the New York Times #1 Bestseller, Wheat Belly, discusses his unique approach to diet where he advocates reversal, not just prevention, of heart disease. Dr. Davis discusses his findings of eliminating wheat and other grains from the diet. The results that his patients and many others experience include weight loss, reversal of heart disease and curing diabetes, obesity, rheumatoid arthritis, skin disease, cancer and other diseases. Dr. Davis states that he believes that by eliminating grains from your diet, almost 80% of disease would be eradicated. Click on the link below to listen to this fascinating interview:

  1. I would speculate the reason for the wheat in everything is because they have created a market with a cheap product and between the “powers that be” they decided everyone will have to use this in their products so there is a market. Otherwise no market, no need for the product and monsanto et al loose money and we wake up to their deception.

  2. This was a great interview with Dr. Davis. There was so much well-founded information about how agri-business has changed our food and what to do about it. I just ordered the Wheat Belly cookbook.
Thanks for doing this interview, Carol.

  3. If you read Wheat Belly, you will also learn that wheat has addictive properties similar to drugs. When you eat wheat, you want to eat more–it makes you very hungry a couple of hours later. Therein lies the beginning of the vicious circle of everything bad–disease, weight gain, etc. Food processors are like drug pushers working to get us addicted so we’ll buy more and more. They care nothing for our health, just for their bottom line.

I’ve been on the Wheat Belly Lifestyle for 17 months and after 40 years, I’m no longer addicted to food. I’m totally wheat free and have lost 61 pounds. I no longer take Celebrex for arthritis or Nexium for acid reflux. Those are just two of the many improvements in my health since becoming a “Wheat Belly-er.” Today is my 69th birthday and I feel better than I did at 30! JOIN THE WHEAT FREE REVOLUTION!
