Dr. Jill Carnahan: Healing Your Gut and Autoimmune Disease

What has changed over the last 20 years with our food? Why is there an epidemic of gut-related diseases? Did you know that autoimmune disease is the 4th leading cause of death in this country? Why didn’t our grandparents have gluten intolerance or the amount of allergies we are seeing these days? Dr. Jill Carnahan (“Dr. Jill”), is a medical doctor and is dually board-certified in Family Medicine (ABFM) and Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM), and she answers some of these questions for us today. Dr. Jill is also certified and an expert in Functional Medicine. Functional Medicine is personalized medicine that deals with root cause of disease instead of just treating symptoms.
