Sally Fallon and Liz Reitzig of Farmageddon Discuss Details Of The Movie Released This Week

On Tuesday, June 28 at 7:00pm(MT) on Blogtalk Radio, Food Integrity Now talks with Liz Reitzig and Sally Fallon of  Farmageddon about the film released last week in Washington D.C. and this week in Los Angeles.

Americans’ right to access fresh, healthy foods of their choice is under attack. Farmageddon tells the story of small, family farms that were providing safe, healthy foods to their communities and were forced to stop, sometimes through violent action, by agents of misguided government bureaucracies, and seeks to figure out why.  Why is the FDA raiding small farms with SWAT-type raids? Farmageddon documents the U.S. government’s constant attacks on innocent farmers and consumers in an attempt to protect massive corporate interests.

Liz Reitzig is the President of the Maryland Independent Consumers and Farmers Association and Secretary of the National Independent Consumers and Farmers Association.  Both organizations lobby for farmers rights and for access to real foods. Reitzig is featured in the movie and actively supports local farmers.

Sally Fallon is a journalist, chef, nutrition researcher, homemaker, and community activist. She is on the Board of Directors of  The Westin A Price Foundation and is the author of Nourishing Traditions: The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats. Fallon is also featured in the movie.
